My May Challenge – Chocosize?!?

tiddlyompompom

In the 80s I was given a challenge in May to learn to dance round a maypole. I was very very bad at it! I undid all the beautiful twisting patterns that the other dancers made. It was the start of a very bad relationship between me and any form of dance at all!

Now in a new millennium and with the help of Tiddlyompompom and her May Challenge Linky I am going to achieve something!!

Tiddlyompompom provides the following guidelines for joining in with her May Challenge.

At the beginning of the month, decide what it is that you want to achieve over the next thirty days. It could be anything: losing a couple of pounds, getting the weeding done, making something, learning a new skill. Whatever you like. Putting my management hat on for a second: make sure it is something you can actually achieve in a month. Be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-based).

My target is to lose 5lbs in 30 days.

I currently weigh 9st 5lbs and I would like to weigh 9st or below when I get married in September. Esther and William are now 9 months old and I am back to my pre pregnancy weight; what I want now is to achieve my pre IVF weight of 8st 12lbs but I am going to do it slowly. I have a dress fitting for my wedding dress in the middle of July, I want to reach my target weight by then.

To complete my May Challenge I need to lose the first five pounds. I intend to do this by not buying chocolate or eating it at home for the next 30 days and by going out for a walk every single day in the month of May.

I think that this is an achievable target that I am even more likely to achieve if I share my progress with readers of this blog and Twitter.

Why not leave a comment to wish me luck or join in with the May Challenge yourself by linking up over at Tiddlyompompom.

  1. Ooh good luck! I have the same wedding dilemma, but noway will I weigh what I want by the wedding, so I’m just trying to lose a sensible amount of weight for. Not buying chocolate for the month is a good start. I want to try no takeaway food for a month, and I’m positive at the moment!!

    • No takeaways is also a good plan! I think any little thing like that has got to help. My problem is I have to be careful what I cut out of my diet because I am still breastfeeding twins!!

  3. Hiya. I was doing so so well until I was shortlisted for TRUToyologists and have now had two nights of chocolate and crisps and undone all my hard work! Will write a midway post at the weekend to explain more about how it is all going. How are you getting on?
