Bobux Baby Shoes: A Review

Matilda Mae met a milestone today. She wore her first ever pair of shoes!! Bobux Baby Shoes.

Matilda has a few pairs of soft soled baby shoes but to this day I have never put them on her feet as I truly believe that babies should not wear shoes until they are necessary to protect their feet. Matilda until now has had no need for shoes and it is best for her development for her feet to be bare, or stockinged.

Today has been so cold though and so I thought it might be appropriate to give Matilda’s feet an extra layer of coverage for warmth and I remembered the Bobux Baby Shoes we had been sent to review. Bobux agree with my thinking that children’s feet are best as far as possible bare but sometimes tiny feet need a little more.

Mother Nature had it right; bare feet are best when little feet are growing. However, that’s not always practical in today’s world. Bobux is the next best thing.

Supporting what nature intended, Bobux shoes let feet develop free from restriction.

Bobux soft sole baby shoes for developing feet are breathable and skin friendly.
The soft leather breathes and moulds to a child’s foot allowing feet to play and grow naturally without restriction.

These elasticated leather shoes fit snugly onto tiny feet and Matilda Mae was fascinated with hers. The pretty colours and bright designs of these shoes make them a great fashion accessory as well as a functional product for baby. They are also a toy. Matilda sat and played with her shoes for ages today. It is as Bobux says like having a mobile at the end of your legs.

The shoes did seem to keep Matilda’s feet warm today and they were not too sweaty which was nice. Bobux baby shoes are £20 a pair which I think is quite a lot as I know a fabulous company that sells very similar shoes for £5 a pair. Esther, William and Matilda all have these other shoes and I found it hard to find any differences between the shoes.

I am very particular about shoes for all three of my children as my own feet are so damaged from wearing ill fitting and inappropriate footwear when I was a child. My children will always have sensible shoes and particularly in their younger years to ensure that their feet develop correctly. My feet are misshapen and cause me pain if I walk too much because of the stupid shoes I wore as a child in the 80s.

My horrible feet!

My husband and I are both champions of a barefoot childhood and our children can often be found outside with no shoes whatever the weather.

However now when appropriate we know that we can source safe shoes for our children that nurture and protect them and enable them to grow.

Shoes like those from Bobux.

We were sent one pair of Bobux shoes for the purpose of this review.
