June Challenge Dress and Diversity!

tiddlyompompom

This month I am setting my self a personal target and a family target.

The personal target is to continue trying to lose a few pounds before my dress fitting on the 6th of July and to make some time for me once a week to do a proper beauty routine as the wedding is now just 3 months away. Eeek!!

The family target is to try to do something new with Esther and William everyday such as messy play with a different material, painting, crawling on grass, listening to a different type of music. This is for their benefit but also for mine as I have been getting a bit depressed with life being the same all the time. It has been nearly 11 months and this morning is the first ever time that I have let David take the babies out while I just sleep and do a few things for me. Not for the house but for me. I have been very reluctant to let go of the babies even for a few hours but I am now at a point where I know I have to; to regroup, restore some energy so I can be the fun Mummy that I so desperately want to be. My body has been trying to tell me for ages to take a break and I have ignored all the signs. To take care of Esther and William properly I need to start by taking care of myself so ….

Though all of these challenges are mine, if I can achieve my goals they wil make life better for all of us. That is a goal worth striving for.

I am hoping that by joining up with this fine group of people we will be able to support each other as we strive toward our goals.

Here’s to a fantastic June, long may this weather continue(!) and Good Luck everyone!

  1. I think we all need to take a step-back sometimes. I had a similar challenge a bit back and I felt fab afterwards and the kids were happier too because Mummy was a bit more chilled 🙂

    Good Luck!!

  2. me time is SO important. It’s amazing how a little bit of time out can make such a huge difference to your day to day life. I hope you manage it! x

ps could have sworn I commented yesterday but apparently not, sorry…
