Meal Planning Monday: Wedding Special!

With less than three weeks to go to the wedding I need to get serious about my diet (she taps whilst munching on a KitKat, her second four fingers of the day!).

I have read other bloggers meal plans before and thought if I make my menu public then surely I will be more motivated to stick to it. I don’t want to have to keep confessing my chocolate cravings and how I have not had the will power to work through them. So, here is my meal plan on a Monday, for Meal Planning Monday.

I am following The Dukan Diet (really rather loosely) in the hope of regaining my pre IVF and baby weight of 8 and a half stone for our wedding day. I think I was lighter still when I first met David, but I was probably too skinny then to be fair.

So, the idea of the diet (that David is also following, loosely) is that we have have one pure protein day and one protein and veg. We are mostly having protein and veg days with pure protein days when our weight loss needs a boost.

We can eat low fat dairy products such as Normandy fromage frais, Activia yoghurts and skimmed milk. Skinny lattes are allowed! But no sugar.

Anyway, to the menu for the week

Breakfast is always yoghurt with oat bran and a skinny cup of tea

Jerk chicken drumsticks and green leaves

Monday Dinner
Salmon and veg

Tuesday Lunch
Marinated king prawns

Tuesday Dinner
Hot and Spicy Seafood and Veg Stir Fry, made with no oil

Wednesday Lunch
Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon

Wednesday Dinner
Chilli Mince

Thursday Lunch
Ham and egg salad

Thursday Dinner
Scallop and Bacon stir fry – no oil

Friday Lunch
Salmon and Veg

Friday Dinner
Chicken Fajitas without the wraps

Saturday Lunch
King Prawn Salad

Saturday Dinner
Haddock and Veg

Sunday Lunch
Salmon Salad

Sunday Dinner
Pizza Express! (Naughty I know but David and I are having a date night!)

Monday Lunch
I am having my spa day where breakfast and lunch are provided!!

Fish dinner with Michele

And that is as far as I have got so far. By next Wednesday it will only be a week and a half until the wedding. I will assess again where I am with my weight and my measurements and see what needs to be done. But that Sunday I have my family hen do, again at Pizza Express and then we are into the week of the wedding itself! Oh my goodness! That time is going to fly.

I am one very excited bride to be, counting down in days, pounds and inches!

  1. Wow! You eat so well! Far better than I do! It all soudns quite posh in fact! Not a boring sandwich in sight! I find I don’t eat chcolate bars (as much as I love them) purely becasue they are never in the house! I don’t buy them and then they aren’t there. Perhaps you could banish them for the last couple of weeks? Temptation is then gone! Although you are very tall to be getting down to 8 and a half stone anyway – that is probably under weight for your height. Take it easy! xx
