International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day

I am lucky to have never lost a baby of my own though those who know me or who read this blog will know that with Esther and William we came so very close. Too close when they were born too soon.

It saddens my heart to know so many who have lost babies during pregnancy or soon after birth. My thoughts and prayers are with those friends and family tonight.

Once a mother of a baby or of an angel you are a mummy for life.

The love never leaves.

The hurt never heals.

The memories never fade.

But life does go on.

Love finds a new path.

The hurt changes.

The memories are treasured.

Candles burn.

Compassion is shared.

Stories are told.

Peace can be found.

Today is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.

Please spare a thought, share a prayer, light a light for mothers’ arms who are empty tonight.
