Before Christmas I was invited to shop at Beaverbrooks and review the service I had

With the busy festive season and Tilda’s anniversary it is only now that I have a chance to tell you about it

To tell you what I bought

Our local Beaverbrooks was very busy in the run up to Christmas

Husbands and partners mostly it seemed

Some couples

All deep in conversation with the person looking after them in store

The display windows sparkled and shone

In the light of the late December day.

I did not mind having to wait

I thought that I would need the time to browse

I did not have a clue what I was going to buy

But as soon as I walked into the warmth of the store

I saw exactly what I was going to spend my £100 gift card on.

There, on display, just inside the door

Were gifts for children

I saw the most beautiful watch for a little boy

With a star on the second hand

And a beautiful pink and purple angel necklace with a star, perfect for a little girl

A little girl with a sister in the sky

Signs indeed

The perfect presents for Esther and William to find under the tree

Delivered by Santa

As I looked at the products some more

I realised that Esther and William might both want a starry watch

They do like to have the same things

And they are both beginning to learn to tell time

And so with my £100 I was able to buy them each a stunning watch

And I bought the necklace too

At first I thought I might keep it for myself

But now I have decided to keep it for Meredith Hope

A present from her angel sibling in the sky

When she comes

As I told the lady in Beaverbrooks my choices

And explained the reason why

She was so so lovely to me

We sat down as she wrapped and boxed the items

They only had one watch in stock

So I returned a few days later for the second watch

The lady remembered me

She was utterly lovely to me

It was a little like time stood still

Amid the Christmas rush

I will always be grateful for her understanding

Her empathy

And the beautiful sensitive way she served me

I will definitely be returning to Beaverbrooks

For jewellery and gift shopping in the future

The customer service was second to none

And the gifts I found there are very special indeed
