Sending Fairy Wishes To Sea

Today we went to the sea

It has been one year

Since we said our formal goodbye to Matilda Mae

Since we celebrated her little life

It has been an emotional day

Today we went to the sea

With our magic wands and fairy dust

With our very special stones

Today we went to the sea

We visited our special place

We made wishes on magic pebbles

And sent them out to sea

special stones

We made a wish for Matilda Mae

And for her special friends

Harrison and Freddie

We chanted

We make a fairy wish, we make a fairy wish

We kissed the stones

And made them sparkle with magical dust

And then tossed them to the wind

To the sea

special friends

Today we went to the sea

Today we remembered our baby

Our baby Matilda Mae

Today we remembered her

We honoured her

We wished for her

And through her

We remembered them

magic moments

How has it possibly been a year

Since Baby Tilda’s goodbye?

We miss you Baby Tilda in the sky

William spotted one of your magical clouds today

A Baby Tilda cloud

A pink cloud

Floating on a bright blue sky

We love you and miss you Matilda Mae

Today and every day

Always

Today we remembered you

And them

And we sent fairy wishes to the sea

To the sky x

  1. Can’t believe it has been one year already. I know it’s a cliché to say it could have been yesterday, but you know what? I can imagine so easily that it was only yesterday. Such is the fluid nature of time… and so is it possible that it will be like no time will have passed for either you when you meet again… x x x x x x

  2. With the special addition if fairy dust and wishes, those stones are going to travel far and wide. They’ll see things the rest of us never will and will take #MatildaMae’s legacy around with them.

Hope the next few days are gentle for you all xxx

  3. I’m thinking of you all. Two of Matilda’s forget me nots are growing in my garden, I’ve been watching them grow for a couple of weeks now, hopefully they’ll flower soon x

  4. You always remember Matilda in such lovely ways. This sounds beautiful and I am glad you are making these memories for the twins- they will always know how special their baby sister is

  5. Beautiful photos to capture what must have been such a difficult day for you all. Those beautifully decorated pebbles are like stepping stones between you and Matilda – through your love and care her memory and legacy lives on. Thinking of you as always x
