A Rainbow Nursery with Enchanted Interiors

Today I am 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant

In less than 4 weeks our Rainbow Baby may well be here

My hospital bags are packed

And we are slowly starting to sort and organise our house

Ready for her arrival

David has been busy making our room ready

It just needs finishing touches now

But we are sleeping in it

On a bed

For the first time in over 17 months

For the first time since the night that Tilda died in there

The smallest bedroom in our house

Used to be Esther and William’s room

Was always going to be Tilda’s room

But now belongs to Rainbow Baby

For the first 12 months it will be a day room

A place where she and I can spend some quiet time

It will have her Snuzpod in it with a pink floral Toddlepod inside

An idea unashamedly stolen from It Started With a Squish

It will have a nursing chair

It will have a changing unit

With a Rose Shnuggle Bath

A pink floral CosyPlay mat

And her baby gym from Lollipop Lane

Bought as a surprise by a very special Twitter friend

You can see images of all the products we have chosen here

The day nursery will be a place for us to feed, rest and play

A sanctuary for mummy and baby

A place for us to be

The room is probably not going to be ready

In time for Rainbow Baby to be born

But we are making plans and progress

As best we can

The basic decoration has been done

We used Nursery Paint to paint the walls

Three walls are a light pink

Her Sunday Best

And the feature wall is Moonlight Grey

On the feature wall we have a lovely rainbow and stars wall sticker

From Enchanted Interiors

The Rainbow Wall Sticker set comprises of 25 self-adhesive extremely high quality fabric nursery wall stickers for applying to any smooth surface.

The stickers can be repositioned and removed leaving no residue on the surface. This was great as we could position the stars, look at the scene and then reposition as often as we needed to until we got it right.

The sticker looks great. The fabric feels lovely and it really adds a sense of sun and colour to the room.

starry rainbow

For us of course the rainbow and the stars have a very special significance

As we welcome our new Rainbow Baby but still miss Matilda Mae with all our hearts

This Enchanted Interiors sticker is a perfect way of celebrating them both

The sticker is a good size for our nursery

It will be on the wall above Rainbow Baby’s cot

I have plans now to buy this Make A Wish sticker for the opposite wall

And this night sky mirror set for the large wall, opposite the window

The mirrors would be above the changing unit and bath

Tilda and Esther and William all love to see themselves in a mirror

I am sure Rainbow will too

And opposite the window the mirrors will draw more light into the room

I think the sky theme is another way

Of making the room feel like Tilda is part of it

Watching over her new baby sister

Keeping her happy and safe

Putting the sticker up was easy to do

It was also very emotional

If you are looking for a way to make your baby’s nursery or children’s bedroom extra special then I am certain that Enchanted Interiors will have something that is perfect for you

  1. It’s a great combo… Eleanor didn’t use her Toddle pod for a while and now won’t settle without it again. She is tucked up in it at the moment in her beautiful Snuzpod 🙂 xxx

  2. It looks amazing Jennie! So glad to hear you are back in your room – and a bed! That is a big step and must have been a tough one. I hope all the happy memories you have of Tilda in there are outweighing the terrible final one. Big hugs xx
PS – the discount code is not working. It says is has expired – or is it from tomorrow?
