I’m busy putting the shopping away
No you cannot watch TV!
Can you see what I’m doing?

Maybe you can come in a minute then?
Perhaps I could but I shan’t
The monster blames a lot on the baby
The monster can be fierce and cross
I wish I could slay the monster
So much time is being lost
Can we play with these tiny things?
No, they are too dangerous for Bea
Can I use this noisy thing?
No, you might disturb the baby!
Before Mummy has a chance to respond
The ugly monster is out
Without any hesitation
No! We hear it shout
No I cannot get you a drink this minute
No I cannot help you clear your junk from the floor
I know that you need me right this second
But Baby Bea needs me more

Apart from the baby parts this is so me too 🙁 I don’t like the Mum I’ve turned into…I always have an excuse and it really isn’t fair on the boys, but I just can’t snap myself out of it! xx
Hi, we were gifted the book ‘Little Monstor did it’ by Helen Cooper when my second was born and my eldest was 2-it’s a somewhat humerous take on adjusting to life with a baby and my little boy still loves to read it a year later. I tried my best (and still struggle) to set aside a short time with him each day that was totally dedicated to him and me but I only have 2! All the best x
