For The Girl Who Lived

In my arms you lay

A sleeping beauty

A gentle giant of a baby

At almost a year

You finally have

A whisper of hair

Similar to William in colour

Your eyes are dark

Lashes long

And in the flash of each smile

There is Tilda

But you, Beatrice Hope, are you

And what a character you are

Full of energy

Full of fun

Punctuated with smiles and laughter

A mimic

A comic

A stair climbing machine!

stairs

At not yet one you are walking

And talking

With some recognisable words

You love climbing

And playing

And toddling around

You love biting

With your two teeth

And pulling hair

You say a loud Hiya

To every new person you meet

You repeat yourself

Until they reply

You demand attention

Command affection

You are as your name means

A bringer of joy

cuddle bea

You love Big Bug Band

From Baby TV

And with a nod to Tilda

In The Night Garden too

You love cars and balls

And food from the floor

You love playing in water

And being outside

You love having cuddles

And coo ‘Aaaaahhh’ as you do

chasing bubbles

You love your Smart Trike

And climbing up slides

You love doors and drawers

Seeing what is inside

doors

You love books

Have favourites

That you bring to me

We read them together

Once you’ve climbed on my knee

You are sociable

Love people

You charm, melt hearts

You perform

hiya

You adore your siblings

Want so much to be like them

Your face lights up when they enter a room

wannabe

You love Cheddars and cheese

Watermelon chunks

But mostly you have breastmilk

On demand!

You sleep in my arms

Or with me in bed

The odd short spell in the buggy

Your smile is amazing

Your giggle infectious

You scream so loud when you are excited

You adore music

You love to dance

You like to stand and clap your hands

You are a star spotter

It was a first word and sign

You instantly recognise Twinkle Twinkle

Your favourite song is Wind The Bobbin’

You can do all the actions too

I am sure there are many things I have missed

About marvellous magical

Wonderful you

bea you

The loveliest girl

The luckiest girl

You are the girl who lived

  1. What a lovely post and what a little ray of sunshine she is!!!!!! Please tell the twins to keep their whole grapes out of arms reach from her and not leave any on the floor that roll off the plate – I heard about a toddler near us grabbing one from his older siblings plate and they are one of the worse things for getting lodged, if not impossible, so I am always compelled to tell others as not an obvious thing. Xxx

  2. Lovely, and gorgeous photos, I hope she has a happy birthday later in the week 🙂

Also I love that tree/play house in the back of one of those photos, so fun and quirky! x

  3. Happy birthday beautiful girl. I can not believe that are babies are turning one, I still remember when they were tiny newborns and it feel’s like this last year has flown over. Jacob is a giant baby too he is so big. She sounds like such a character with a wonderful personality already xx
