I had wondered with this baby

Whether she would be a blog baby

I toyed with the idea of recording this pregnancy through Instagram

But this blog is my home

The home of my thoughts

My feelings

My words

This blog is as old as my oldest children

It is part of me

All my babies have been blog babies

And this one

This last one

well, I want to write about her too

I started this blog

When the twins were in NICU

I knew nothing then about blogging

It was just my diary

I hoped someone might read it

That it might help parents of preemies

As Not Even A Bag of Sugar helped me

I had no idea how my blog would would grow

How I would come to love sharing our world

How I would need the support of my online friends

When our beautiful Tilda died

Tilda was my first blog pregnancy

Bump Watch

Her diary was called

Bea was a blog baby too

Her diary was named Growing Our Rainbow

It was a natural choice for a name

As Raising Our Rainbow was

To describe her baby days

The badges for Bea’s blogs

And for all of our charity work in Tilda’s name

In fact the entire design and redesign of this blog

Was the beautiful, inspired work of Ellie Illustrates

So once I knew I wanted this baby to be a blog baby

I knew who to turn to

To create her badge

When I fist contacted her

The name I had in my mind was

The Final Countdown

Our Final Countdown

David did not like the name

He did not like the link to the song

And he did not like the finality of ‘Final’

We have said that this will be our last baby

I am 40 years old after all

But perhaps we are not quite ready to say never!

Anyway …

Then Helen and I started bouncing ideas around

That our family is growing

And that even if baby does not live

I am still a mother again

But what I needed

Was a name

This new baby

Our last baby

Is a gift from Heaven

A gift from Tilda

A Sprinkle of Stardust

Whatever happens baby is stardust

We are all stardust

We are all made of stars

And so this baby

This last baby

Will be a blog baby

Please do come with us

And share our highs and lows

As we hope and pray

That in May 2017

We will get to meet our baby girl

And bring our Sprinkle of Stardust home
