Dressing a Bump: My Pregnancy Style

Have woken up this morning feeling horrid

Too tired and covered in child snot to function properly

Bea is not sleeping well because of a troublesome nose

My 5am wake up call

After not much sleep at all

Was unusual, unexpected and unwelcome

So I have decided to focus on times recently

When I have been feeling better

Feeling pretty

Bathed in that infamous pregnancy glow

I do love being pregnant

I love my body when pregnant

I am not usually body confident

But with a bump I just feel right

And I love dressing for two

I have written lots of posts over the years

About my pregnancy pretties

And maternity wear that has caught my eye

You can find links to some of my old posts

At the bottom of this page

But I would also like to tell you

About some of the things

I have enjoyed wearing so far

With our Sprinkle of Stardust

I am 23 weeks and 6 days pregnant today

I have a large but I think lovely bump

And I am enjoying dressing it up

Down?

And showing it off

When I am at home

I am living in maternity leggings

From New Look

And pyjamas and clothes from

The Essential One

essen1style

I have loved The Essential One

Maternity and baby wear since 2012

They are a brand I admire and trust

Their clothing is well made

Clothes are soft and comfortable

They wash well

Holding shape and colour

And I have never had to iron them!

I love The Essential One pyjamas and nightdresses

I wear them for sleep

And for lazy days at home

I mix and match sets from different seasons

I wear them with Essential One sleep bras

Which are so soft and incredibly supportive

And give easy access for feeding baby too

Or toddler in my case!

I also love The Essential One’s nursing and maternity tops

Again I have a mix of seasons

I love the easy to wear styles

Lovely fitted arms

Tied in under the bust

To give some shape

And they come in a range of colours and patterns

I mostly wear these tops at home

Or for more casual occasions

They are great to wear with leggings

As they are nice and long

If you are pregnant

And/or nursing

jo-jo-skirts

This pregnancy

I have a real thing for skirts

Pregnant or not I am definitely a leggings and boots lady

But at the moment I find myself choosing to wear skirts

All of which come from Jo Jo Maman Bebe

I have a denim A-line circa 2011

A beautiful black party skirt
(now reduced to £15!)

A red kilt

And a blue

Both of which are now just £10!

Bargains!

All the skirts are so easy to wear

And to dress up or down

They are over the bump

With a super soft bump panel

Which seems to offer some support

As well as coverage and warmth

I am loving Jo Jo skirts

With tights and boots

Perfect maternity wear for this season

Whatever the occasion

mama-stripes

When shopping for tops

I tend to shop for stars or stripes

And I am lucky enough

To have some lovely stripes

From Jo Jo Maman Bebe

And from Mamalicious at Yummy Mummy Maternity

I adore Mamalicious tops

They seem to suit me very well

And accentuate all the best bits of my pregnant shape

I always get compliments in my Mamalicious mama stripes

And I always feel great!

polar-coat

This winter as well as making me look good

Mamalicous is making me feel good

And keeping me warm

In this Polar Coat from Yummy Mummy Maternity

This coat is so warm

Has an awesome Eskimo hood

And creates a lovely pregnancy silhouette

A great winter coat for pregnancy and beyond

The coat is currently reduced in the Yummy Mummy Maternity Sale

So these are some of my pregnancy style picks

That have seen me through the second trimester so far

I am looking forward to share more Dressing a Bump posts with you

Here on the blog

And over on Instagram too

I am loving dressing for two

This final time

As we countdown to meeting

Baby number five

Our already much loved
