Today is Blue Monday

The most depressing day of the year

So said some people

Somewhere

Sometime

I think we all acknowledge that January can feel hard

After the fun, festivities and frenzy of December

But to say that one day is more depressing than any other

For everyone in the world

Is in my humble opinion

Utter nonsense

And in my 40 years on this Earth

I only heard about Blue Monday

For the first time today

As it happens

We have had a lovely

Gentle day at home

Recovering from coughs and sniffles

And further more

I rather like blue

All shades of blue

It is and always has been

My favourite colour

So as today is the day

Of blue

My bestest colour
