Caboo! Close Enough To Kiss

Edie and I have been very lucky

We have been given a Close Caboo +Cotton Blend

In a very pretty printed design

One of four special anniversary additions

Of this soft baby carrier

The Close Caboo has always frightened me

It is quite sling like

There are rings

It is very wrap like

There seems to be lots of material

But I am so very glad that I have faced my fears

As this particular carrier is beautiful

The Emily pattern we have is very pretty

Though the carrier has elements of wrap and sling

It really is very simple to use

Easy to get on

And I can breastfeed in it!

This is one of those baby products

That I am going to wish I had used with all our babies

And not just our last

The Caboo is neither wrap nor sling

It is a soft baby carrier

And one thing that I have noticed is that it really is soft

When carrying Edie I feel like I am wearing a cotton top

Nothing digs into me

Nothing rubs

The fabric feels soft and gentle against my skin

And so must feel good against Edie’s skin too

We went for a walk on a hot day

And I did not feel overly hot and sweaty

This is a really comfortable carrier to wear

I love babywearing so much

The big drawback for me

Is that I panic if the carrier is not quick and easy to put on

That is why wraps are a no no for me

I am not good with fiddling and adjusting

I like to click and go

With the Caboo there is no clicking

You put on the soft straps much like putting on a tshirt

It is easy to get baby in to the right position

Then easy to wrap and tie the support band over the top of baby and me

I did think about making a video but there are so many on You Tube already

It is easier to direct you to one of them

I was really impressed with how easy it was to get Edie into the Caboo

I am looking forward to wearing her in this carrier again and again

Because it is pretty, easy to get on and off, easy to feed in and so comfortable to wear

Also, Edie is really happy in it, seems very comfortable

And on our walk enjoyed being snuggled awake as well as asleep

One thing I noticed when wearing Edie

Was how having the hammock straps pulled down over my shoulders

Helped to evenly distribute Edie’s weight

I suffer with back pain

And was worried that now I am post 40

I would be unable to wear Edie

But I think with the Caboo I am going to be able to wear her

Hopefully for some time yet

The large padded back square offers more support

It sound strange but I did not feel like I was wearing a carrier

The Close Caboo feels more like wearing clothes

close caboo 3

I love the position that Edie is held in

Her legs made a lovely frog shape

Or M shape

With her knees tucked up higher than her bottom

I am all about healthy hips with Edie

As at her 6 week check she was found to have an immature hip

Which though now corrected has still raised my awareness

Of the importance of hip healthy products

Though the fabric of the Caboo is soft and stretchy

Edie still felt very secure in the carrier

I wore her in the up right

Chest to chest position

Close enough to kiss

Babywearing has many perks

As a mum of many children

Wearing Edie day to day

Around the house means that I can get jobs done

Or means that I can push Bea on her swing

Or play and craft with the others

Out and about it means that I can take a buggy out for Bea

Or at least have my hands free to help her if she is walking

Babywearing gives parents options

I have sometimes been reluctant to wear

With a very new baby

Because of access for nursing

But actually with the Close Caboo

I can feed Edie at 3 months without removing her from the carrier

This is life changing for me

And will have a huge impact I think

On our family

Certainly on me taking the children out for the day on my own

caboo 5

The Caboo offers extra support for baby

With the wrap around pouch

This is also a handy place to store a hat

Or a spare nappy and a couple of wipes

close caboo 6

The Close Caboo is made from poly cotton

Soft and stretchy

Also breathable and sweat resistant

So perfect for summer months

Taking on holidays

Wearing indoors

Especially places like soft play

School plays and assemblies

Such events are always SO hot!
