Plastic Fantastic with Whirlpool Power Dry

For the last few weeks we have been testing a Whirlpool dishwasher

This is no ordinary dishwasher

It replaced our old faithful dishwasher

And I was tempted for one reason

Because of one specific thing that it apparently does

Leaves your plastic bowls, plates, cups and cutlery

Perfectly clean and perfectly dry

With small children in our house

We use a lot of plastic

For mealtimes and for play

Messy sensory play

Our old dishwasher

Loyal and steadfast as it was

Got most things clean most of the time

But never left them dry

And so with the promise of ‘Power Dry

I agreed to give the Whirlpool a go

The Whirlpool Sixth Sense Power Dry

Is quite the dish cleaning machine

It is slightly more modern than our old model

With a wide range of washing options

10 programmes to wash up to 13 place settings

Perfect with the festive season about to fall

This is a clever machine

It has a sixth sense which enables it to detect how dirty your plates are

And clean them accordingly

And the thing that Whirlpool asked us to test

Was the innovative 1 hour Power Dry cycle

That claimed to leave all our dishes not only clean

But also dry

I have tested the cycle a few times now

And am happy to state here on my blog

That it really and truly does work

It leaves our dishes

Plastic or otherwise

Clean and dry

David has commented on how clean our glasses look

They seem to sparkle and shine

And the dishes using this special cycle

Come out dry enough to be put straight back on to the table

Or used again in messy play

With a large young family this is a revolution

An innovation that takes some of the stress out of everyday

And I know that I could wash up by hand

And dry with a tea towel

Or at the very least just dry off the dishes from the old dishwasher

But this does it all

And that is a luxury I am comfortable with

Think of what I can do now

In the time that it saves

With the energy it conserves

The dishwasher is really quiet so it is possible to have it running over night

Or while you are entertaining

I think I can just about remember what it is like to make dinner for guests!

In fact, I had a friend over just a few nights ago

I made Chilli Beef and Nachos with cheese

I cook the beef in an old wonky wok handed down from my mother

And melt the cheese over the top in a glass oven dish

The whole process is icky and sticky

Leaving a glorious mess

Perfect for putting the Whirlpool Power Dry to the test

A test it passed with flying colours

Not a speck of dirt or water in sight at the end of the one hour cycle

We have been testing this dishwasher

For the best part of a month now

There is not much this machine cannot do

And it looks good too

At the moment it looks quite out of place in our little utility room

But when we extend and I get the kitchen of my dreams

The Whirlpool Sixth Sense Power Dry will enjoy pride of place

I have been trialling this dishwasher from Whirlpool

As part of the Winter Whirlpool Challenge

I am not a food blogger

Far from it

I am not very good at cooking at all

But I am good at making a mess

And this machine is very good at cleaning it

To ensure you get a foodie perspective too

I realise that Dinovember is now over

And most people are hurtling towards Christmas

But we are still very much in dinosaur mode

And fear we may be for many months to come

William is obsessed!

w-rex

He loves nothing more than coming home from school

Getting into his dinosaur pyjamas

And playing with some form of dinosaur world

So soft and snuggly to wear

They wash really well

And are fun to put on for bedtime

Or anytime

They have fast become one of the twins’ favourite things to wear

If you are looking to buy some Ava and Luc pyjamas it is worth looking at their size guide

The pyjamas do come up slightly small

They are a modern skinny fit
