Esther and William are just at the stage where they are having favourite toys. This is Esther with her talking teddy. Whenever this teddy comes into view her whole face lights up with a glorious welcoming smile and she sits and chats to him for ages. The teddy sings different songs when you press his different body parts. Esther loves it and babbles along. I love this photo of the two of them. A special moment captured now to keep for always x

Musical Memories – New Beginnings
My whole reason for starting blogging was to welcome Esther and William to the world. My beautiful daughter and her brother, my son, born on the 24th July, 13 weeks too soon. They spent 59 days in NICU and looking at them now, you really would never know.
My musical memory is of the beginning of their tiny lives and the soundtrack to those early days.
This is Wires by Athlete with photos of Esther and William at their beginning.
THE VIDEO ON FACEBOOK (should it not work here!)

It’s A MAD World!
I have been unsure whether or not to write this post for a few days now but I am going to go for it because this blog is not about me, it is about Esther and William, their arrival into this world, their journey through NICU and their daily development as they continue to grow.
This is my baby record book, my memory box, it is for Esther and William to treasure for always the things that they cannot remember by themselves.
I started this blog in August 2010 to record the 59 days Esther and William spent in intensive care when they were first born at 27 weeks gestation. I started this blog as a way of helping others who found themselves walking in our shoes. I started this blog as a way of helping friends and family understand what we were going through. I started this blog as a release.
I would be honoured if you would nominate Edspire: Esther and William in the World for a MAD Award. We are a new blog and I think that our story is an inspirational one. Babies who have survived against all the odds and continue to grow bigger and stronger everyday.
If you read our story, if you follow our journey and you like what you see then please nominate us to receive an award in recognition of our tale so far.
To learn more about these awards visit the website where you can also make your nominations for this year’s awards.
Thank you x

Summerland Keepsake Critter Review
Esther and William were born at 27 weeks and it was over 3 weeks before they were first allowed to wear clothes. Longer still till they wore clothes of their own. This made me realise how important our clothes are … Continue reading

I cannot believe how much older Esther looks when wearing clothes. She is such a cutie though, even with dribble dripping off her chin. I couldn’t choose between two pics today so thought I would share them both. Enjoy!
