At the end of April our month of firsts(!) we applied to become Toy Testers, Toyologists, for Toys R Us. We had to write a review of a favourite toy. There was no question that for Esther and WIlliam this had to be their Jungle Gym, which is actually a Fisher Price Rainforest Melodies and Lights Gym, Deluxe!
Anyway 150 entries were submitted for the competition and Geoffrey Giraffe (love him!) whittled them down to a shortlist of 25.

And guess what? We are on it!!! Along with some of my favourite Mummy Bloggers we have been shortlisted! Our Twin Toyologist Fantasy could be about to become a reality!

For those who do not know what a Toyologist is let me explain. Toys R Us periodically choose individuals or families to test and publicly review their toys to help other families make informed choices about the products that will be right for them. It is a fantastic opportunity to receive, test and review a range of toys that you might not normally get to hear about and also to share those toys with your local community in some way. It really is a wonderful opportunity to have some fun and make a difference with toys!

To try to get from the shortlisted 25 to the final, top ten toyologists I have just completed an in depth questionnaire where I blatantly promoted the competition, Isaac the Newt (I am sorry but this is an outstanding entry and review. Well done!) I hope that I also did enough though to convince Geoffrey that Esther and William deserve to be chosen and would do him proud as part of his toyology team!

Now all that is left to do is wait! So wait we shall. Waiting is so HARD!
