We were asked by the lovely DKL Toys to review a new to the market wooden trailer and car. I actually call this beautiful wooden toy a transporter lorry with my children. It is fondly known as the car transporter.
This sturdy wooden lorry and car make up part of the Wonderworld Mini World range that I now would like to buy all of. I have been spoiled with this taster of wooden transport toys and now I am hungry for more. There is far too much plastic in our playroom and I would love to weed it out and replace it with the whole Wonderworld Mini World range which is not only great fun for tiny hands and curious minds but also exquisite to look at.
This Mini Trailer is made of chunky wood and high quality rubber on the wheels. It is suitable for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor play. It stimulates so much conversation. Esther and William love it, inevitably fight over it but mostly enjoy sharing it and discovering new ways of incorporating it into their every day play.
Esther and William talk about directions when they play with the Mini Trailer, they talk about going forwards and backwards and also left and right. They talk about driving and traffic lights. Exploring this toy has coincided with road safety week at preschool and so we have talked a lot about transport and traffic lights.
The truck is solid and so is quite a heavy toy but it is easy for little hands to hold and push along. It is a great toy for twins or siblings as one person controls the car while the other controls the lorry. A great way of learning to play together rather than just alongside one another.
I have been so impressed with the quality of the Wonderworld Mini Trailer that I have ordered a Mini Police Car for William (from Play Merrily) for his gift from Pre School Santa. I am now creating a wish list for the rest of the Mini World products I want to collect so that we can replace all our plastic cars and garage. I am on a Wonderworld mission!!

If you like the look of this Wonderland wooden Mini Trailer I cannot recommend it highly enough. It has made me look again at all the toys we own. Here is a toy that Esther and William love. It does not need flashing lights or sounds, especially sounds as they have so much fun creating the appropriate noise by themselves. This is a traditional toy that promotes imaginative play and we love it! We love the quality of the wood, the simplicity of the design and the brightness of the chosen colours. This is a striking toy that would sit well in any toddler stocking this Christmas.
