There is definitely a hint of Spring in the air today
Sunshine, snow drops and bird song
Bea is getting ready to embrace the season
At 6 months and 19 days old she is most definitely crawling
And trying to pull herself up to standing
Whenever and wherever she can
As we start to prepare our home and garden for the warmer weather
We are making plans for our mobile baby
Plans to keep her safe
And to enable her to have fun
Inside the home and out

For a newly mobile adventurous older baby or young toddler I think a sand and water table is a must. The Little Tikes Sandy Lagoon Water Park looks perfect for introducing something extra to our sand and water play. This would be great for Bea to use while Esther and William are busy in their wooden sandpit or in their paddling pool.
Every child should have a slide. Indoors it is great fun to slide down and land in a ball pool or on the soft carpet, outside a landing can be cushioned by grass or straight into the cool waters of a paddling pool. This slide looks great for inside and out, it can also be folded up and easily stored when not in use.
The slide is quite big and I wonder if something like this climbing frame from Little Tikes might be a better place to start. This would be much more for Bea than for all three to play on.
On Esther and William’s first Christmas, or perhaps their second, they were given a rocking horse to share. That little blue horse has been on many adventures over the years. I am certain it will become a trusted friend of Bea’s.
Every birthday and Christmas David and I thought about getting Cozy Coupes for the twins and I do wish that we had. They absolutely loved them and always sought them out at toddler groups and preschool and at the houses of family and friends. I think they would have loved to have some of their own in the garden.
I think the Cozy Pumper is a great idea too, opening up a world of imaginary and real life role play.
The last thing that would be great for Spring into Summer is a play mat that can be used inside and out for having tea parties, picnics and sharing books. I love going out on a sunny day and sitting on a mat beneath a tree ready to play. I love the Galt Farm Play Mat as it would be perfect to take on our holidays to Coombe Mill.
Such simple things that can add so much pleasure to family time at home and in the garden for a growing family.
