Hipp and Happening Baby Food!

Over the past week The Tweanies have been trying out a new (to us) range of baby food from Hipp Organic. The Hipp Organic baby food company sent us a selection of their products to try as part of our Tweaning campaign.

I have to say that Esther and William say Hipp Hipp Hooray and give a big twin thumbs up to Hipp Organic baby food.

William has not refused a single item this week and that is just wonderful! He has been hungry for more of everything that we have given him and his appetite is healthier and healthier every day that is passing. Could it be down to the goodness and flavour of Hipp Organic foods?!? The foods look and smell great and provide a range of interesting tastes and textures for babies to explore.

Esther and William both loved the gently steamed root vegetabes with apple. This creamy blend of potato, parsnip and cauliflower with apple was gobbled down quick as a flash by both babies and was followed by strawberry and raspberry yoghurt.

I love the HIPP Organic range of foods and desserts and as a busy Mum of twins they are perfect for meals at home and on the go.

The food tastes good when warmed but also at room temperature served straight from the pot or jar. The food smells like real food.

As a busy mum and a useless, reluctant cook I always feel guilt and pressure to cook for my babies but to be honest I am not even going to try anymore when they can get so much variety and quality from an Organic food company such as Hipp. There is no way I could match the diversity and taste sensations of these organic baby meals. Esther and William love them, and so do I.

Over the past week we have tried…

gently steamed juicy tomato and sweetcorn pasta with beef
gently steamed sweet carrot and pea risotto with chicken
apple and vanilla dessert
fruit duet apple and apricot with yoghurt
star pasta with butternut squash and chicken
scrumptious sunday lunch
my first sunday dinner
parsnip, potato and turkey casserole
Apple and banana puree
rice pudding
pasta in a tomato and ham sauce
banana yoghurt breakfast
apple and banana crumble

… and we have loved them all!

The rice pudding was the favourite in the mummy taste test and I don’t usually like rice pudding but this was thick and sweet and just yummy to taste!

As well as providing great food for all stages of weaning Hipp Organic also help Mummy’s make sense of introducing their babies to food. They provide no nonsense advice and inspirational ideas for developing your baby’s diet. All of this information and advice can be found online on their fabulous website. It is easy to navigate and the content is well written and easy to digest. There are lots of useful resources like meal planners, recipes for home cooking and developmental milestones for babies up to 3 years old. The site is bright, colourful and inviting much like the packaging of the food.

Hipp Organic was something new for Esther, William and I but we will definitely be continuing to explore this brand and we hope that you will too.

Thank you Hipp for sending us your products to try as part of our Weaning Twins series of posts.

  1. Hey,

It’s almost the only brand I’m using here. I try to cook as much as possible but whenever I don’t have the time I use their products and I do the mummy taste test too 🙂 I actually can’t tell the difference between their fruit purees and mine ! Apart from the tiny bit of cinnamon I add to the apple puree, it just tastes real !

I’m really happy with this food because I can give it to my baby without feeling guilty that it’s ready made food and without fearing what there will be inside.

  2. Oh I’m sorry, but just wanted to to let you know that a lot of Hipp Orgnic has added sugar in it (organic I grant you!) Organix, Ellas Kitchen and Plum have become our staples. Its not meant to be a critisism of feeding in anyway as each baby likes different things but just wanted to point out that Hipp food often has loads of sugar in it, so please check label if that bothers you. xxxxx

    • I have to admit to not really looking at the labels just going by taste but I will now. I might do a sugar test across the ranges as part of my series on weaning. Thank you, Claire x
