I is for Invitations

If I could rearrange the alphabet I would put U and I together!!

Wedding fever is building here in the Nairn / Henley household with just over 11 weeks to go!!

We sent out our invitations a couple of weeks ago and have had lots of RSVPs back already. Thank you everybody!

Our invitations were designed by David and I in rough, perfected by David and then printed by Vista Print, who, incidentally, printed our Save the Date cards too.

We wanted the invites to be informal, to show our colour scheme of navy and yellow, portray our theme of a summer party and give a feel for the barn dance and bunting family day we are hoping to pull off.

We had two versions made, one for the day time celebration and one for those people who would be staying on with us through the evening meal.

We worked for ages on the wording of the invites to get them just right and I think that we got there in the end. I love that we have included Esther and William so prominently as part of our celebration. They are so much a part of our lives, how can they not be a huge part of our day?

They are the inspiration for our family day that I hope will be filled with fun and laughter as we bring all our frends and family togther to celebrate our love.

I am so excited abut the whole thing and starting to feel very emotional too.

I am going to marry the man that I love and have the same name as my children. We will be a family. I can’t wait!

  1. Awwww how lovely Jenny! It’s lovely that you designed your own invites and you must be so excited now with less than 3 months to go. We got engaged and married within 3.5 months so I didn’t have much of a build up 🙁 x
