Persevering Through Puddles for Premature Babes

The weather could not have been wetter but everyone’s spirits were high and we persevered through the puddles and torrential showers to raise money to help save the lives of premature babes and make their families’ experiences more bearable.

60 people participated in the Bliss London Buggy Push 2011 around the beautiful pathways of Kensington Gardens.

Pushchair Trader’s Jo started the race with Siren from Gladiators. We were not far behind and in fact crossed the finish line of the 5km buggy push with Jo and her husband. We made good time through the most horrendous rain. Mum and I were soaked before the start as we had walked from Victoria Station and by the time we got to our train home we were sodden through and through.

We had walked 10 soggy kilometres total and were more than ready for a rest on our train journey home.

As I think most people know I was part of the Pushchair Trader Team and together with other team members we raised over £1300 for Bliss. I personally raised £280 and I am hoping that our friends and family on seeing our sorry selves in our sodden state may donate a few more pounds to help us reach the £300 mark. We really did get very wet and it is a most deserving cause close to our hearts. If you would like to help us achieve our goal you can donate through Just Giving here.

I would like to say thank you again to Pushchair Trader and Britax Baby On Board UK for making it possible for me to take part in the Bliss Buggy Push today. The B-Dual did us proud and we really put it through its paces, particularly the raincover! Esther and William enjoyed a warm, comfortable and, importantly today, dry ride.

Well done to everyone who took part today.

A tribute to us and the weather!!
