TP Forest Double Swing: A Twin Toyologist Review

Fun with Daddy!

There is something magical about your very own swing in your garden.

Swinging with Mummy

Our TP Forest Double Swing is situated at the bottom of our garden, where the fairies play at night and in the morning sunshine the magic that they have left behind sparkles on the leaves and the grasses and now on our swings!

David was able to build our TP Forest Double Swing together with Junior Seat within an hour. I have to admit though that he is very good at making things and deciphering instructions. However, the instructions are actually quite clear with pictures as well as words. The frame of the swing is heavy though and needs an extra pair of hands to aid assembly.

Once erected the swings hang proud from their Scandinavian Redwood frame. The frame is over 2 metres high and almost as long. It takes up a lot of garden space as you need clearance all around to ensure safe swinging. For true security you should also concrete the ground pegs into place but we have not done this as yet.

TP are a vey safety conscious company; this comes through in their instructions as well as in the quality of their product. The wood is protected against rot and guaranteed against damage for five years.

The swing seat is moulded plastic meaning it is comfortable for a child to sit on securely. The junior or baby seat is suitable for infants from 9 months. Esther only weighs 16lbs and she was perfectly happy and secure in it. In fact she loved it so much that she cried when I tried to get her out! William was more unsure to begin with but even he enjoyed it in the end and he is not always a fan of swings. Perhaps it is because he knows that this one is his very own in the safe confines of his own secret garden?

The baby seat is comfortable and it is safe. It has a little tray on the front where a baby could have a snack or a toy after a swing if like Esther they are reluctant to leave!

It is great that the junior seat and normal swing are interchangeable within this frame. It makes a quality product a truly lasting product that grows along with your family.

With twins we obviously do need another junior seat to get the best use out of it for the next few years. The TP Forest Double Swing with Junior Seat is available from Toys R Us for £144.99. A great investment providing family fun for everyone.

  1. Thanks for a your review of the Swing. Lots of smiling faces in this one – great to read.
Would be fantastic if you could upload it to the Toy Box app on Facebook so the Toys R Us UK community can have a read and hear your thoughts. It’s great for people to be able to compare the reviews of these products and see what the other Toyologists thought too. Many thanks. ^GG
