TK Maxx MAD Review!

Back in September 2011 I attended The MAD Blog Awards as a finalist in the Best Baby Blog competition. Sadly not only did I not win but I also was unable to wear any of the gorgeous dresses I ordered from TK Maxx as they arrived at my house literally minutes after I boarded my train to London.

TK Maxx had been very generous in dressing several bloggers for the event, all of whom I have to say looked absolutely stunning, and I was really rather disappointed not to be wearing mine.

I got in touch with Polly, PR from TK Maxx after the awards, prepared to return the dresses and that be the end of it. But the lovely Polly thought it best that I returned the dresses but then used the money to spend in TK Maxx on something else that I could use as a feature on my blog.

So here it is. Better late than never. My shopper’s review of TK Maxx.

TK Maxx is a great store but for me it is a little unorganised. Truth be told I am not a good shopper. I do not have the patience or energy to hunt through rails for something just right. I like a bit of order. I like to be able to hone my search criteria from the comfort of my sofa. And for this the TK Maxx website is ideal, however, when I returned my dresses from The Mads I was given a gift card that could not be used online. I had to brave my local store in Maidstone.

Polly, the lovely PR from TK Maxx, set me the challenge of either doing my Christmas shopping with the money or buying one item for each member of my family. I combined the two challenges by buying a Christmas selection for my new nephew and some festive party outfits for Esther and William.
The shop was a success and I could not believe the bargains that can be found in TK Maxx with just a little bit of effort. There is also so much more available in store than can be found on the website and I have to say that I did quite enjoy the rummaging!

For just under £100 I got all of the following from TK Maxx

A baby’s padded star snowsuit

A Gro Company Baby Sleeping Bag

Two beautiful winter cardigans for William

Two knitted winter dresses for Esther

A 7-piece newborn clothing gift set

and

A baby sleepsuit

I was really impressed with the selection and quality of products available. TK Maxx provide better value bargains than many other stores I have been brave enough to try.

I will definitely be shopping in TK Maxx again especially now that I am preparing for the arrival of Matilda May and TK Maxx have a new baby and nursery section. What great timing!

Thank you to TK Maxx for sponsoring MAD Blog Award Finalists and for changing my mind on shopping!
