Sadly So Sadly Bowing Out of Photo 366

I feel ridiculously emotional writing this post, I think it must be the pregnancy hormones or perhaps I feel bad for letting down my unofficial blogging mentor, The Boy and Me, who has been so supportive of myself and others attempting to complete this project but … I have to bow out of the Photo 366 project.

Among the many things that went wrong at Center Parcs last week perhaps the worst of all was that my trusty waterproof camera turned out not to be waterproof anymore and I am now without a camera.

Even the most talented of us I feel would find it challenging to complete a photography challenge without the required apparatus.

And so it is with regret that I have to stop sharing magical daily moments like these .. for a while at least.

My plan is to start again when the new baby comes and make a 365 project that will be the first year of her life.

With that in mind I need to get myself a new camera and David agrees that we will need one for when our new daughter arrives.

I am wondering if any bloggers / photographers would be willing to share the secret of their success, the tools of their trade.

What camera do you have? Would you recommend it and why?

Or what camera might you be tempted to buy if you were about to have a new baby and wanted to perfect your portrait style shots?

Is there a camera that would do this well and be waterproof and toddler proof at the same time?

Thank you all and for now 366 farewell!

Good luck to all those who are still taking part.

    • I really wanted to do it though and was a bit of a personal challenge but you are right I cannot do without a camera and the next 365 days will be just as challenging and enjoyable I am sure x

  1. i take photos sooo often but had to bow out of the 365 challenge a couple of weeks in because it was just too much of a strain and i wasn’t loving taing the photos, i am sure you will complete a wonderful 365 challenge to capture the first year of your little ones life and that will be amazing! good luck with finding a new camera i love cannon cameras, only wish i could afford a ‘proper’ one!

  2. Don’t worry about letting me down missus, it has to work for you! Have you not got a camera on your mobile you could use? And don’t forget that a 365 can start on any day!
