Breast Vest Review

This week lots of bloggers have been writing about the benefits of breastfeeding for mummies and babies as part of the fabulous Keep Britain Breastfeeding Scavenger Hunt.

What we have not talked about is the inconvenience of not being able to wear normal clothes.

On the whole nursing clothes that I have tried tend to be expensive and badly fitting. I am yet to find an item of breastfeeding attire that flatters me and that I look forward to wearing.

Since Matilda was born I have spent most of my time in my Melba lounge wear often with a Breast Vest underneath.

If you nurse your child or children for a long time you begin to yearn for your old ordinary clothes. I fed Esther and William for 15 months and by the end of this time I was desperate to wear some pretty underwear and a dress that made me feel sexy rather than one that labelled me as the walking milk machine that I was.

Breast Vest
is an ingenius innovation that allows breastfeeding mummies to get back into their old clothes and even buy some new ones … fashionable, attractives clothes designed to make a lady feel good rather than for ensuring easy access for feeding. The Breast Vest turns any top into a breastfeeding top.

Breast Vest is designed to be worn underneath your normal tops with a nursing bra to allow you to feed discretely whilst returning to your pre pregnancy clothes.

For me the advantages of the Breast Vest has been that it covers my huge and horrible abdominal scar and it also disguises the fact that most days I am still wearing maternity jeans and trousers! It has only been 5 weeks.

Created, designed, tested and approved by breastfeeding mums, breastvest was invented to make breastfeeding in public easier and to let new mums get back into their favourite clothes while still doing the best for their babies.

The Breast Vest is really comfortable to wear. It is soft against your skin and so would not irritate any scarring if you have had a c-section. The vest is quite thin and so it is okay to wear even on hotter days.

I love the confidence and freedom that the Breast Vest has given me whilst feeding Matilda and I wish that I had had one when Esther and William were young. It would have been great for wearing to NICU when I was expressing every two to three hours and learning to breastfeed too.

This month Breast Vest is supporting Boobie Milk’s Breastfeeding Scavenger Hunt by offering daily deals and discounts. You can keep up to date with all the news and offers by following Breast Vest on Twitter and liking their page on Facebook.

If you would like to buy a Breast Vest of your own then you can do so through their website.

Available in black and white and a steady stream of
limited edition colours, breastvest comes in XS, S, M, L and XL sizes and makes any top a breastfeeding top.

A fabulous, functional, fashion accessory designed by and for a breastfeeding mum.

I was sent one Breast Vest to test for the purposes of this review.
