Memory Music: On The Millennium Dance Floor

In the late 90s

Early 2000s

I spent a lot of time dancing

In clubs of all shapes and sizes

In tents and fields

In people’s houses

I have always loved all genres of music

But this time in my life

Was ruled by trance and dance

And recently I have been remembering some of my favourites

That I just do not listen to anymore

I am thinking that I might have to make some mixes for the car!

Do you remember any of these?

The Chemical Brothers – Hey Boy Hey Girl

Da Hool – Meet Her At The Love Parade

Darude – Sandstorm

Delerium – Silence

Wamdue Project – King of my Castle

Zombie Nation – KernKraft 400

Paul Van Dyk – For An Angel

Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone

Freefall – Skydive

Lost Witness – Happiness Happening

Madison Avenue – Don’t Call Me Baby

Moloko – Sing It Back

I could go on and on

So many great songs

From such a great time

The memories

The emotions

Bring it back

Sing it back

What crazy hazy magical days they were

millennium

  1. I am sorry to say I don’t share your love here. I was (and still am) a huge Take That fan. Pop all the way for me. I know that makes me uncool but I can cope with that!

    • See I loved Take That too and Spice Girls and NKOTB. I adored Will Young and saw him live at Leeds Castle.
I also LOVE more than I can explain Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chillis, Radiohead
      And I ADORE Robbie Williams
I was brought up on 1950s and 60s classics
      I also love classical music
I just love music of all and any kinds x
