Ballerina Dreamer: Sparkle and Shine #review

I have four tiny dancers in my house

Esther, William, Bea and Edie

All dance with the Charlotte Hudson School of Dance

They all love to dance

They love to watch dancing

Read stories about dancing

So when we were asked to review The Ballerina Dreamer Doll

I could not say no

The Ballerina Dreamer Dancing Ballerina

Can dance just like a real ballerina

The large doll

Blonde hair and blue eyes

Comes complete with ballet shoes

And a sparkly light up tutu

She is just the right size

To cradle and cuddle

To push around in a pram

To have tea parties with

She is a perfect

Very pretty doll

If you press down on her magical tiara

The dancer doll will pirouette

Spin on both toes

Kick forwards and backwards

She can shuffle her feet

Like a dancer on points

She can even do the splits!

The girls have had a wonderful time

Dancing with her

Copying her moves

She is our newest tiniest dancer

She has been much loved

And played with these past couple of weeks

Her hair is getting scruffier by the day

And we seem to have temporarily lost a tiny ballet shoe

Neither of these things have stopped the joy

Nor the smiles

Brought to my dancing troupe

By this ballerina doll with her sparkly light up tunic

The only thing with this toy

As with many battery powered toys

Is the music can become tiresome (annoying)

The doll plays a short piece of music on repeat

The children seem to love it

But it does become quite irritating if they are playing for a long time with the music on

There is no volume control

Only on or off

The doll is available from Smyths

For around £39.99

I think that she would make a perfect dance partner

For any budding ballerinas

I wonder if they will make a boy version?

I am trying to encourage William to start ballet

After seeing Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet

A boy ballerina doll might help to persuade

Other potential male dancers to give ballet a try

To feel the magic of dancing

“It’s dancing! It’s magical, actually. A kind of slowish magic. Like writing with your feet.”
