Portable North Pole (PNP) Review

This week Bea came and sat next to me on the sofa

Out of the blue she asked

Is Father Christmas real, Mummy?

Aged 5!!

Why do you ask that?

I asked

I just don’t think he is Mummy

Is he real?

I think he is

I suggested we should watch some festive films

To see what happens to children who do not believe!

But my mind was whirring

I wondered if this year might be the year William asked questions

But I was not expecting it from Bea

I remembered that I had been asked to review

Portable North Pole

A special website and app that allows you to create messages for children

From the big man himself

I wondered if this might do the trick

If a carefully composed message would be just what we needed

To inspire some festive thinking

Some sparkle and shine and Christmas belief

In my curious little five year old

I set to work

I chose to work on my laptop

But the app also works on smartphones and other devices

We actually worked with PNP

Back in 2012 when Tilda was with us

I thought then it would become an annual tradition

But with Tilda dying it just did not

So I am glad to have found it again

Much improved and even more high tec than it was back then

Here is our old PNP review with some very cute Christmas photos

But back to 2019 and Bea

And the all new Santa app!

The PNP app is free to download

Once you create an account you can access it from a computer, mobile or tablet

You can then get creative making films and messages for your children from The North Pole

I chose to make The Magic Carousel video message for Bea

It shows Father Christmas and the elves busy at work in the workshop

Father Christmas talks directly to the child

Using their name and special details about them that you will have input

Bea was just amazed when she watched her film

She kept exclaiming, How does he know that?

The film showed big books about all the children in the world

And there on the shelf we read Esther, William and Edie

It was so magical and I think it has helped Bea to believe again

To fall in love with Christmas all over again

I know that I felt very emotional making the film

And especially while watching Bea open it

With her siblings watching along too

There are lots of videos to make

Messages from Father Christmas

A look inside the child’s Big Book

Birthday messages

Christmas Eve calls

The videos are brilliant quality

And it is THE REAL Father Christmas

From a snowy Lapland

I am not sure it is something that we will use lots

But I know a lot of people that do

For me I am not sure Christmas should be so technological

But the video I made for Bea certainly worked some magic

One of the things that I love is that

PNP donates 5% of web purchases to children’s hospitals around the world

So by doing something good for your children

You can help to do some good for other children too

If you would like to give PNP a try

Downloading the app is super simple

Buying a Magic Pass costs £12.99

You can choose from lots of different videos and messages

Later this month

There will be free videos available

So get signed up to be notified

If you do like the look of the app and think that you will use it a lot for a lot of children

Then this is really good value for money

For spreading the magic of the season and a whole lot of festive cheer

If you do give it a go we would LOVE to know what you think

I received a Magic Pass for the Portable North Pole (PNP) app to review free of charge
