Esther and Edie both LOVE bears

So we are having a bit of a bear themed Christmas

Esther has her heart set on a Fur Real Cubby The Curious Bear

I am hoping that that he might be on offer somewhere over the next couple of weeks

As lovely as he is

He is SO expensive!

He is definitely top of her wish list though

And I do see why

He is a lovely looking bear

He sings songs and plays Peekaboo

Makes eating sounds if you feed him

Babbles back when you talk to him

Esther has never really had an interactive toy

And I know Cubby would fast become her very best friend

I have actuallly bought these for Edie already

The plan is to wrap each of the cases separately and hide inside

I am hoping that this collection will lead to lots of bookish play

Story telling and imaginative play

We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is brilliant for retelling and adapting

Think we will have hours of fun with this combination of bear gifts

Care Bear Cuddlies

When I was a little I had Good Luck Bear

And I adored him

I think my sister had Bedtime Bear

I would love for the girls to collect these nostalgic rainbow bears

They would look lovely sitting in a row in the playroom

I think we might start their collection this Christmas

Bea has Care Bear bedding which she loves

And we all watched the 1980s Care Bear movie together which was lovely

I love things like this that connect my own childhood to my children’s

Melissa and Doug Dress Up Bears

These two things I think make a great combination gift

For our youngest bear lovers

A beautiful peekaboo book with felt flaps

And a traditional wooden toy

We have had this Melissa and Doug toy for seven years

And it is still going strong!

This Christmas I am mostly buying books for our children and I want to try and bundle them up with toys to make book baskets or bookish play sets. This little combination of dress up bears from @melissaanddougtoys and Where’s Mrs Bear? Felt flaps book from @nosycrow would be perfect for young toddlers. The book is beautiful and interactive. We love playing peek a boo with these books and there are lots of different ones to collect. A little bear for a little person

This bear giggles when tickled

Another interactive toy but smaller and with less sounds and responses than Cubby

My children would all love this

A teddy bear to carry round and cuddle and play with

I am so torn with these interactive toys

I know the children would love them

But is this technology doing what the imagination should?

Jellycat Bartholomew Bear

When it comes to cuddly toys

We love Jellycat

So soft and squishy

Perfect for a cuddle

And to sleep with in bed

We have lots of Jellycat toys

But I do think we are missing a Bartholomew

How handsome and huggable is he?

Skip Hop Limited Edition Bear Backpack

A perfect bear for adventuring

And if you are thinking of really going hunting

Then this book might come in handy

It looks absolutely stunning

And I think Esther and William would both love reading

A Book of Bears

The Bear And The Piano

This is a beautiful book with stunning illustrations

It tells a wonderful tale of friendship and belonging

It tells that no matter where you go and what you do you will always be loved

You can always go home
