A time to remember those who gave their lives
That we might live ours
A time to honour those who fought and died for their country

As a parent and an educator
I feel very strongly about Remembrance Day
About sharing the stories of the past
Trying to understand a little of the sacrifices made
Trying to honour the sacrifices made
I have found the best way to talk to children
About what we are remembering
And why it is so important that we do
Is through the power of picture books
