Book Review: BUGS

Anyone who has been following me for a while
Will know that I love Britta Teckentrup
We have a large and growing collection of her beautiful books
Including the nature series that she creates with author, Patricia Hegarty
The latest in the nature series from Little Tiger
Is BUGS

It is brilliant and beautiful
In true Patricia and Britta style
It is a perfect addition to the series
Which already boasts books
Moon, Tree, Sea, Bea and Home
I have just noticed that there is soon to be a Tree Activity Book
Which is HUGELY exciting
But for now
BUGS

With their trademark die cuts, colourful artwork
Peek throughs and gentle rhyming text
Little readers are invited to look down towards the ground
Where a world of wildlife can be found

This book takes little readers through the seasons
Month by month in the garden

Introducing lots of different insects and bugs
This interactive picture book is a wonderful way
To introduce children to different minibeasts
To explore their habitats and life cycles
To learn key words and phrases
Such as larva phase, chrysalis and hibernation
Children can learn about pollination
Through the pages of this book

This is a book to take on garden adventures
To pack in a backpack for field trips

A book to inspire children to get outside
And explore the world around them
To record what they see creatively
Using art and poetry

Another super special book
In a super special series
One we love to gift to the little people in our lives
Books to treasure for always
A series that has grown with our family

Join us on this wonderful journey
Exploring the awe and wonder of the natural world
And celebrating all it offers with brilliant and beautiful books
