Christmas Reflections

And so it is over for another year

This has definitely been Esther and William’s best Christmas so far

They totally and utterly believe in the magic of the season

And it is wonderful!

Our Christmas was very simple

A slow Christmas in every sense

Traditional toys

Family times

Lots of moments for reflection

And remembering Matilda Mae

I definitely love the countdown to Christmas

More than the day itself

I am going to relive some of our best moments for you on the blog

As we count down now to 2015

And think how things are going to be even better next year

I want to do more giving next year

I want us to bake cookies for neighbours

Be more present at school than we were this year

Be more part of the community

Some of the traditions from this year

Old and new

We will continue and some we will not

This Christmas has been almost like a practice run for me

To see if I might one day be able to enjoy this festival properly again

I do love Christmas

I always have

And Esther and William have been amazing this year

So beautifully behaved

So polite and gracious in receiving their presents

So enthusiastic in playing with their new toys

So kind to Bea

And so willing to include remembering Matilda Mae

It is just part of our days now to remember her

I have been a very proud Mummy

A very proud Mummy indeed

Of all of my children

On Earth and in Heaven

God bless you Matilda Mae

Sleep in Heavenly peace
