PJ Upsy Daisy Doll: Review and Giveaway

In our third box from Toys R Us we received two PJ Upsy Daisy dolls.

Now both Esther and William love In The Night Garden but they have different favourite characters. Esther loves Upsy Daisy but for William it is all about Iggle Piggle. So we have decided that we will only keep one of the cuddly dolls and give the other away to one of you.

PJ Upsy Daisy arrived dressed in a beautiful night dress, all ready for bed. I was a bit worried that Esther might not recognise her and so I quickly got her changed into her more familiar daytime clothes. I have to say that I was more than a little disappointed that her skirt does not inflate, but Esther does not seem to mind, in fact I am not even certain that she has noticed!!

PJ Upsy Daisy is perfect for little ones to snuggle when they are ready for a nap. The familiar character can be used to establish o reinforce a bedtime routine. She comes with her very own night light and a bedtime book. So your little one can be encouraged to tuck her up in bed and share the story before they both drift off together to ‘the garden in the night’!

(I have to say at this point that our book did not last very long and perhaps for £20 they toy could come with a board book that is more useable with young toddlers around.)

Esther loves cuddling PJ Upsy Daisy but at just one I feel that keeping her in her daywear and playing with her in the lounge is a better use than playing bedtime routines. Esther is not quite ready for this yet and does not sleep with any toy. I am sure that as she is older and begins more imaginary games and role play then PJ Upsy Daisy will come into her own.

I know a little girl who would love an Upsy Daisy doll and I’m sure Baby Annabel (or Baby Bababel as Babyzoid pronounces it) would appreciate a friend to share the burden of being a rough and tumble tots play-friend 🙂

We’ve know “In the Night Garden” through Rew’s nephew who kept talking about Makka Pakka and has an obsession with picking up stones (which he calls makkas).
We’ve shown him to Maël when he was being difficult to feed and now his face lights up when he sees Upsy Daisy and she starts singing. I think she’s her favourite character and it would be interesting to see how he reacts when he sees her for real !
