This year I am so excited to be buying my baby niece a Happy Hopperz Reindeer

Esther and William have had theirs for a few months now

A pink pony and a purple dragon / dinosaur

There are lots of different Happy Hopperz characters

Including this rather handsome green chap

Perfect for Dinovember!

Esther and William first fell in love with Happy Hopperz

At various local baby classes we used to attend

They always found them tricky because they were always small for their age

But they adored them

Happy Hopperz are great for physical play

Indoors and outdoors

They are perfect for learning to balance

And are great fun for tumbling when they topple

Esther and William treat their Hopperz like friends

Cuddling them, feeding them, caring for them

They are their faithful companions and live in our playhouse in the garden

The Hopperz are very cute

They make for great companions

They are also good for sharing with family and friends

Even grown up aunties can have a go!

I have never seen my sister laugh so much

As she did on a Happy Hopper

I am sure that is why my niece is getting one for Christmas

Really it is for mummy!

Esther and William love to take their Hopperz on garden adventures

And they also love to use them for races

Something I think a certain bride from Bump PR did at her wedding!

I am really struggling for ideas for William this Christmas

It is usually Esther I am searching for with uncertainty

But this year our four year old daughter knows exactly what she wants

William does not know

Or does not know how to tell us

He knows he wants to go back to Thomas Land

And he loves his dinosaurs and trains

But he cannot tell us anything that he would like Father Christmas to bring

I have been busy browsing toy shops

In person and online

I think I have been looking in the wrong places

Today I turned to TTS

One of my favourite teaching resources stores

And there I found a total treasure trove

Of goodies for four year old boys

Esther and William would actually both love my first find

I think they would find it very funny

Popoids

Making people with bendy arms and legs

Acting out scenes with them

Making people with animal faces

I think Esther and William would like Popoids a lot

TTS have lots of things like this

Tactoids look great for children like William

Who like their vehicles to have faces

Crazy Creatures look cute and funny

They get children thinking about what to make and how

Then also offer imaginative play potential

Developing motor skills and language through play

William adores dinosaurs and this set of giant dinosaurs would raise a smile on Christmas Day

William loves playing in the garden on his bike

These traffic signs would bring an exciting creative dimension to his outdoor play

This tummy surfer looks like a great way to get around while developing body strength

And gross motor skills

For a boy who loves gadgets and making things work

And a Daddy who is a programmer and software developer

A Bee-Bot could be a very interesting idea

These remote control bugs also look great fun … for all the family!

William loves magnets and numbers

I think this Diamond Counting Game would be a big hit

I could go on and on

Last week I went on a rare trip out to Bluewater

And I visited the Lakeland store

It made me want to be a better mummy in the kitchen

It made me want to fill our home with the smell of baking

I am not a natural baker

I am not any sort of cook

I am going to need some help

And so this year my Christmas wish list for me

Is most definitely kitchen based

I would very much like a breadmaker

And am quite taken with this breadmaker from Panasonic

Friends and relations of mine have breadmakers

And every time I taste the bread they make

I promise myself that one day I will have one

I am hoping that Santa may hear my plea!

I would also like to find this soup maker under my tree

I love the idea of making nutritious soups through the winter

And serving with our homemade bread

Seems an easy way to give our diet a nutritional boost

Through traditional comfort foods

Made in a modern way

I am not a regular coffee drinker

I used to be

I gave up caffeine when going through IVF

And never returned to coffee

Apart from the occasional Mocha

However for the longest time

I have dreamed of waking up on dark winter mornings

Coming downstairs to a breakfast bar

Reading my emails

And drinking one large mug of frothy coffee

One day I hope this dream will come true

We do not yet have a breakfast bar

And I am not really a morning person

But a sleep deprived mummy can dream

Dream of a Nespresso machine!

These are the three things at the top of my list this Christmas

Esther and William have always loved a puddle

They have always had a sixth sense about them

Being able to find them

Wherever we may be

Watching Esther and William play in the water together
