Halilit Toddler Music Orchestra #Review

For the past few weeks we have been testing out

The Halilit Toddler Music Orchestra

Already big fans of the brand

We were very excited to be asked to review this new set

The Toddler Music Orchestra set contains 5 musical instruments

Perfect for making music, obviously

But also great for adding an extra element to storytelling

And to play

We have used our instruments for playing along to music CDs

Playing and singing nursery rhymes

As well as practising our Christmas carols and other festive favourites

We also set up a musical instrument shop

And used the different instruments to add sound effects to our favourite stories

We used them to create soundscapes for our favourite books

Experimenting and playing with music is so important for babies, toddlers and children

I have always been passionate about music and play

Have a look at this old post which explains how I structure our music play

This was 7 years ago

Not much has changed in my approach really

Including using Halilit Instruments!

We all love music in our house

It is a vital part of our home education

All the children have attended toddler music classes with Fun Train

Esther now has singing and piano lessons

Esther and Bea sing for an hour a week at stage school

And all the children attend many and varied dance classes

It is such an important part of our ‘work’ and play

If you cannot teach me to fly, teach me to sing.
– J.M. Barrie

Whenever we play music

We sing

I have written before about the importance of singing

It is such a wonderful and fun way to communicate with your children

It really helps us to get out of a bad mood in this house

We like to sing and we like to sing loud!

Esther, Bea and Edie are always singing and making up songs

And it makes me so happy when they do

We love singing together in the car

William joins in too

He loves musical theatre just as much as the girls

A child who sings is a happy child
– Elder Enrique Falabella

With The Halilit Toddler Orchestra

We have been focusing on nursery rhymes

And seasonal songs

We have been having great fun experimenting with rhythm and rhyme

My little lot really do love to perform

#gifted We have been having great fun exploring @halilituk Toddler Music Orchestra. 5 instruments including a xylophone, jingle bells and a rattle roller. We were not sure what to call this one but it is edie’s favourite! We have been singing ALL the nursery rhymes and using the instruments to make sound effects and soundscapes for some of our favourite stories. Edie, Bea and Esther have all enjoyed playing some tunes and singing along. We have been huge #halilitmusic fans for years. Perfect instruments for babies and toddlers. And this orchestra set would make a fabulous present for budding musicians. #somanywaystoplay #musicplay #halilitmusicaltoys #halilittoys #toddlerplay #toddlermusic #toddlerfun #letthemplay #christmastoys #nurseryrhymes #rhymetime #musicfun

The xylophone in the set is really lovely

It comes with some colour coded music so that older toddlers and children

Can learn to play some simple songs as well as experiment with their own sounds

The shakers and bells are great for little hands

All the instruments are robust and easily cleaned so perfect for toddlers

They make great sounds and are perfect introduction to tuned instruments and percussion

The orchestra set would make a wonderful gift this Christmas

For any budding musician

You will be giving so much more than a box of instruments

And a whole heap of fun

You will be giving an introduction to the world of music

You can read more about the importance of music for all but especially our littlest people here

We have loved working on this campaign

And are very proud to be part of the Halilit Aw Factor video too

Along with some other super cute music makers

Please do have a look x

The fact that children can make beautiful music is less significant than the fact that music can make beautiful children.
