Family Fun and Fashion with Frugi

When Esther and William were babies

About 9 months old

6 months corrected

Esther had a beautiful dress

She did not wear dresses very often

As she was so very tiny

But this dress was a beauty

It is one of the few items of clothing that I still have somewhere

Ready for Rainbow Baby

It was a cord dress

A lavender shade of purple

With a patchwork fabric flower

Made by Frugi

We love Frugi!

And for their tenth birthday celebration

Here are ten of our reasons why

10 Things To Love About Frugi

Frugi clothes are all made from organic breathable cotton

No chemicals are used in the production of Frugi clothing

Frugi make clothes that children love to wear and want to wear over and over again

Frugi make clothes that parents wish were available in their size!

Frugi baby clothes are cut to fit over cloth nappies (Rainbow Baby is going to be my first cloth bum and I have my eye on lots of fun Frugi fashion for her)

Frugi make reversible dresses and fleeces meaning that any accidents out and about can quickly be concealed

Frugi produce fabulous roll up trousers and adjustable waistbands so that tiny tots like mine can wear clothes in the right age range even though they are small

Frugi clothes are designed to be worn for play which is what our children do for most of their time

Frugi clothes are great value for money, they wash beautifully and can be handed down from generation to generation (Just like Esther’s dress)

Frugi fashion is not only fun for all the family but also helps to protect our planet by donating 1% of their annual sales to sustainability initiatives. Frugi helps to protect bees, seas and trees which we think is rather wonderful

When I was pregnant with Tilda

I wrote lots of lists of things to buy

Frugi baby clothes were on many of those lists

Including this one

I already have my eye on lots of lovely items for Rainbow Baby

Including this lovely smock top and pull ups

Too too cute for a summer baby girl!

smock top

I found some lovely pyjamas too for Esther

They could be sweet summer siblings together in these!

This month though we were invited to try some Frugi clothes

Esther was sent a beautiful summer dress

And William a long sleeved top

I had such trouble choosing items for them

As though I do not dress Esther and William in matching clothes

I do like them to subtly coordinate

For Esther I chose this beautiful smocked gypsy dress

It is called Ocean Vintage Rose

To coordinate I chose an ocean themed top for William

Featuring a similar shade of blue

This shark applique top with a yellow submarine

Got lots of admiring glances as William proudly wore it

And Esther was completely made up

When a pirate told her how pretty her dress was

Neither of them wanted to take their clothes off

A sure sign of shopping success

Fabulous fun designs that are comfortable to wear

Frugi have fashion for young families spot on

FRUGI FAMILY FUN

Esther’s organic cotton dress is simply stunning

It is a classic style of dress that I remember wearing myself

As a child of the 80s

I think that mine was made of cheese cloth?

This is a pretty dress for a young girl to wear

It works equally well on a fun day out

As it would for a party

Esther will be wearing hers again next week

For The Baby Tilda Barn Dance

Esther loved the spotty pockets on the dress

POCKETS

The attention to detail on Frugi clothes is a real feature

I love the elasticated smock detail on the dress

The broderie anglaise trim

The puffy sleeves

The beautiful contrasting colour lining

Such pretty little details make this a truly stunning dress

pretty little things

The gypsy dress costs Β£27 and is definitely worth the money.

Esther will wear this dress over and over again this summer before passing it down

To her new baby sister

The dress is a timeless classic that can be worn for generations to come

William’s shark top is such good quality

It feels quite heavy but because it is made of breathable cotton

William was able to wear it comfortably on the hottest day of the year so far

DRESS2

This top looks great with jeans and would also work well with

These roll up sailor trousers made by Frugi

For short legged boys like mine

sailor roll up trews

We have loved trying out these fabulous clothes from Frugi

I am often asked where Esther and William in particular get their clothes from

Where I buy their clothes from

And I am always proud to share the great independent clothing companies that we use

I think that Frugi are going to become firm favourites on our clothes shopping list

I already have my eye on this

And this!

I think you can tell from the tone of this post how in love with Frugi we are. We have been honoured to be a part of their tenth year celebrations.

Frugi produce fun fashion for children, clothes that promote an active and free childhood, that allow children to adventure and play from the day they are born until they reach the tweens and teens.

To see a sample of Frugi for 4 -5 year olds do check out Charles looking funky over at Real Housewife of Suffolk County

We love you Frugi.

Happy Birthday!

Our birthday wish for you?

That you keep on doing what you do

Painting rainbows and making fashion fun

We are honoured to be part of your family

  1. Awww how adorable is baby Esther!! The gypsy dress is so gorgeous, that’s going on Tia’s summer wish list which is always ever growing. Did you know that Frugi team up with totsbots to create super cute cloth nappies? We have a couple, one has rainbows and ladybugs on it. Xx

  2. A beautiful dress for a beautiful girl. This dress was another of our choices and is definitely on our wish list of more. Little Esther looks beautiful in it. Love the way you have coordinated the two of them too, just gorgeous x

  3. I so love Frugi, they are local to us and we have been clothing our kids in their funky organic gorgeousness since they began. I so agree, I wish they came in adult sizes, especially the towelling trousers.
    Gorgeous pics Jenny.

  4. I absolutely LOVE the keyboard-playing octopus; I’ll be on the lookout for that one! Admittedly, I hadn’t heard of Frugi before reading your post (came through from Tots100), but I’m glad you posted about them πŸ™‚ Our little man, Isaac, is growing so fast… so I think I’ll check Frugi out to see what I can buy ahead of our family holiday next week πŸ™‚

    Thanks,
